The organizers of NollywoodWeek Paris Film Festival have released the line up of films for the 2019 festival scheduled for 9 May to 12 May 2019. Nine (9) Nigerian movies have currently been selected for screening at the film festival that showcases the best of the Nigerian film industry with the aim of finding a larger audience outside Nigeria.

The films to be showcased at the 7th edition of the event set to hold at the Cinema l’ Arlequin (Harlequin Theatre) in Paris France are:

  1. King of Boys
  2. God Calling
  3. Knock Out Blessing
  4. Lara and the Beat
  5. Light in the Dark
  6. Moms at War
  7. Oga Bolaji
  8. Up North
  9. The Nigerian Prince.

One more Nigerian film is expected to be selected and announced at a later date to complete the 10-film lineup for the event.

This year’s event is centered on the essence of telling the Nigerian story from the perspective of women with a good number of the films having female protagonists or being helmed by female directors.  The Festival has now become one of the more consistent film festivals showcasing Nollywood to the diaspora audience and the forthcoming edition is sponsored by multinational petroleum company Total, International aviation giant AirFrance and the reputable Konbini.
